Valentine’s Day was celebrated with a fabulous tea party at St John’s Care Home. Residents at the Spalding Care Home had spent the week making decorations and heart-shaped bunting to decorate the lounge.
“We also spent time thinking and reminiscing about things that we love this week. Residents wrote their thoughts on hearts and we used these to decorate our home” Explained Ida Brickles one of the Well-being and Activities Coordinators at St John’s.
Staff at the tea party dressed up and wore red and the tea tables were decorated with fresh red roses. Families and friends joined staff and residents who were entertained by singer Antoine, everyone joined in with the sing-a-long and dancing.
“We had a fantastic time”. Said Steve Smith Well-being and Activities Coordinator “We love a party at St John’s and it was great to see the residents joining in with staff and singing along to the music”.
