Margaret was born in Cirencester, daughter of a local doctor, she enjoyed playing Lacrosse and Tennis, She was an air raid warden during the war and then married Surgeon Jack Wilkin.
Margaret played the Violin and Piano and joined the Newent Orchestra.
Her favourite classical artist is Chopin, pronounced “cho-pan”
Margaret said her happiest memories were having her 3 children David, Annette and Teresa.
She had a lovely day yesterday, with visits from her children, Nieces, grandchildren and great grandchildren, she was given lots of lovely gifts and had 3 birthday cakes.
Of course she also received her 8th Birthday card from the Queen which residents at her brighterkind residents enjoyed seeing and guessing what colour our Queen was wearing this time.
