Hillcroft House residential care home in Stowmarket, Suffolk, opened its doors to neighbours and friends in celebration of National Care Home Open Day and was delighted to raise over £200 for a garden project for its residents.
Visitors were invited to enjoy entertainment and refreshments, and an array of activities including a prize raffle. Music came in the form of a live performance from Country Road, which everyone enjoyed.
The craft sale and raffle raised over £200, which will be used to help fund the home’s upcoming garden project, which will see an area of the resident’s garden updated for the summer.
Amanda Atkins, manager of Hillcroft House said: “A great time was had by all and everyone enjoyed getting together socially. The residents and our care team would like to thank everyone who came along and supported the event. A special word of thanks goes to the families and the staff at Hillcroft House for making this a happy day for our residents. We are also very grateful to those who donated – details on our garden project will be announced shortly!”
